On 26 October 2026 I spent an hour and a half at Kusnacht Practice in Zurich. I met Sven Flory, Chief Commercial Officer, and Katherine Girling, Head of Client Relations & Admissions. Then I sat down with Dr. med. univ. László Ürögi, Chief Medical Officer, and Raluca Babota, Clinical Director.
I came away with a clearer picture of what makes this place different. It is not the villas, beautiful as they are. It is the people, and how they are organised.
The numbers that explain everything
Kusnacht Practice takes no more than ten guests at a time. There are ten private villas, and an eleventh is opening soon near the Dolder Grand.
Around them works a team of about eighty: doctors, therapists, chefs, security and more. Most are employed directly. Those who are not work almost only for Kusnacht Practice. Roughly thirty people are at each guest's service.

That ratio changes how care works. Doctors have time. Cases are discussed together. When a situation is hard, no one carries it alone. I asked how they avoid the burnout I see in so many clinics. That structure was the answer.
Their website puts it simply: there are more doctors than clients. The team covers psychiatry, psychotherapy, internal medicine, longevity and precision medicine, nursing, nutrition, personal training and complementary therapies. They also work closely with a guest's own doctors at home.
Speed as a form of luxury
Some guests call while they are already on their way. Kusnacht Practice can organise a full stay in 24 hours. A call between a client and a doctor can be set up in half an hour, because there is no outside schedule to check.
None of the other clinics we recommend can do this. It comes from their rehab background, where urgent cases are part of the work.
Before arrival
The pre-stay follows a clear path. First, the client experience team speaks with the guest. Then the medical team does the same. Only then is a proposal made. For clients who want reassurance, an on-site visit can be arranged to see a villa and the head clinic.
From the first call to aftercare, there are six stages.
- A confidential first conversation.
- Pre-admission with a lead doctor, with paperwork and pre-payment settled before arrival.
- The residential stay, with care around the clock.
- A discharge report with medical and therapeutic recommendations.
- Continuing care at home.
- Recharge Stays, for guests who want to come back for a reset.
Truly tailored
The doctors told me every stay is built from scratch. For some guests it is intensely medical. For others it is spiritual. Nothing is imposed.
If a guest wants only medicine, they get only medicine. If they want to explore meaning and purpose, the team can bring in spiritual teachers and holistic practitioners from its network.

There are no rigid rules either. No enforced phone ban, for example. Guests are encouraged to live as normally as they can. They go out to restaurants, cook with their private chef, go to the cinema.

Alongside the medical work, complementary therapists offer yoga, meditation, forest bathing, massage, acupuncture and sleep support.
Guests are also matched with practitioners who understand their situation first-hand. In rehab, the coach who lives in the villa may have walked the same road himself. I had not heard of this approach elsewhere.
Humble experts
The doctors I met were outstanding. Skilled, passionate, unhurried. What struck me most was their humility.
No single doctor claims to hold the answer. They work as a team, look at each case from several angles, and stay modest about outcomes. Kusnacht Practice provides the framework. The guest does the work.
The clinic and its network
Most treatments take place in the villas. The head clinic is still worth seeing. It feels like a private bank: calm, discreet, impeccable.
I saw the neurofeedback room, the lab and several treatment rooms. The cryotherapy chamber is by Art of Cryo, the best in the field. Regular tests are done in their own lab. Only very specialised analyses go to a partner lab.
Beyond its walls, Kusnacht Practice has built what may be the best medical network in Zurich. When a guest needs oncology, surgery or aesthetic medicine, access is fast, discreet and ultra comfortable.
Privacy by design
Discretion runs through everything. The villas sit in quiet residential areas above Lake Zurich, with no signage or branding. Anonymity is protected from the first call through to aftercare.
Each villa has its own hand-picked team: live-in counsellor, chef, chauffeur, housekeeping and personal trainer.

From rehab to longevity
For more than fifteen years, Kusnacht Practice has been known as one of the world's finest clinics for mental health and addiction. It is led by its owner and CEO, Eduardo Greghi.
Over the years it has also built deep expertise in medical check-ups, prevention and longevity. That created a puzzle for healthy clients. Why go to a rehab clinic?
That is changing. The longevity and regenerative programs will soon have their own brand, with programs for men, women and executives. Longevity in private villas, alongside rehab in private villas. It is a clearer story, and a welcome one.
The longevity work rests on BIO-R® (Biomolecular Restoration), their own precision medicine method. It starts with an assessment before arrival, then a deep health analysis in Zurich.
The tests are extensive: biological age of body and organs, genetics and epigenetics, full-body MRI, AI-assisted brain volume analysis, microbiome, DEXA scan, continuous glucose monitoring and advanced hormone testing.
Treatments include tailored IV therapy, cryotherapy, hyperbaric oxygen, hypoxia-hyperoxia training and infrared sauna, alongside nutrition, training and habit coaching.

The current programs already show the direction. There is a Signature Blueprint, a Female Health Blueprint, a Cognitive Blueprint and a Detox Blueprint. There is also a Leaders Retreat for executives, a weight-management program and aesthetic medicine.
Why it suits the people we serve
Our clients are used to running companies, families and large responsibilities. Their health is the asset everything else rests on. Yet they rarely have the time, or the privacy, to look after it properly. This is where Kusnacht Practice stands apart.
- Time. A complete health picture usually means months of appointments with separate specialists. Here it happens in one stay, in one place. The tests are organised around the guest, not the other way round.
- Privacy. There are no waiting rooms and no public clinic corridors. Most of the work happens in a private villa. For people who are often recognised, this matters as much as the medicine.
- Depth. Few places look this far ahead. Biological age, genetic risks, early signs in the brain, the heart and the metabolism. The aim is to find what can be prevented, years before it shows.
- Body and mind together. Most longevity programs look at the body alone. Kusnacht Practice brings fifteen years of work on stress, burnout and mental health. For people carrying heavy pressure, this is often where the real gains lie.
- One team, then and after. The same team that runs the tests designs the plan, and follows it up at home. Guests can return for Recharge Stays to measure progress. Their own doctors are kept in the loop.
- Tailored to the person. Programs for women's health, for cognitive health and for leaders show how far the tailoring goes. A partner or family member can join the stay.
For someone who wants to stay at their best for decades, and to do it quietly, this is a rare combination.
After the stay
The work does not end at departure. Every guest joins a continuing care program. A dedicated mentor stays in touch through meetings, video calls and return visits, adjusting the plan as life at home unfolds.
What it costs
Stays start at CHF 117,300 per week. Larger villas, extra guests or high season can take this to CHF 150,000 or 160,000. Summer is the busiest time.
Everything is included: medical and psychiatric assessment, one-to-one therapy, care around the clock, the villa, private chef, live-in counsellor, chauffeur, meals, activities and family support. Family or friends can stay with a guest for about CHF 550 per night, meals included.
Our view
Kusnacht Practice is not for everyone. For clients who need complete privacy, real medical depth and a team that adapts to them, it is the very best.
