Lanserhof operates three medical wellness clinics: Lans in Tyrol, Tegernsee in Bavaria and Sylt on the North Sea. The medicine is the same at all three. The prices are a little different on the accommodation, the medical specialities are different apart from the core gut health expertise, and the atmosphere is specific to each place.
This page aims at sharing what a week typically costs at each one, what is included, and how to choose between them. Every figure comes from the official prices of Lanserhof, which we keep up to date. If you want information about the Lanserhof method itself, start with our guide to Mayr medicine.
What a week costs
All three price the same way. The Lanserhof Classic program is the medical foundation, and you add this price on top of a room. It includes the food, the consultations, the treatments and the daily medical supervision. Each figure below is a "from price" for seven nights in an entry-level room category.
- Lanserhof Lans, the least expensive of the three, €5,390
- Lanserhof Sylt, €6,480
- Lanserhof Tegernsee, the flagship, €8,435
Suites and the focused medical programs go well above those figures.
One thing to keep in mind. Very few guests stay on Classic alone. After the first consultation most add the treatments the doctor recommends, and the final invoice reflects that. We can give you a realistic figure before you book.

What Lanserhof Classic includes
Every stay is built on Lanserhof Classic. You do not pre-book treatments. You arrive, you are examined, and your doctor writes the protocol for the week. What that typically covers:
- Medical diagnostics: blood work, ECG, body composition and metabolic testing, according to what you need
- Therapeutic detoxification: the nutrition plan, fasting support, infusions and colon hydrotherapy
- Regeneration: physiotherapy, lymphatic drainage, osteopathy and acupuncture
- Mental wellbeing: stress work, breathing and mindfulness coaching
- Medical technology: oxygen therapy, cryotherapy and neurotherapy
- Movement: walking by the lake or the sea, fitness, yoga, Pilates and the bouldering wall
Lanserhof Classic Plus is the longer diagnostic version of the same thing. At Lans, From €6,440 for 7 nights. At Sylt, From €7,546 for 7 nights.
Lanserhof Lans, Austria
The original, opened in 1984, in Tyrol above Innsbruck. Sixty-seven rooms and suites, mountains on every side, and a quieter village setting than the other two. The program here is Lanserhof Classic. From €5,390 for 7 nights.
Best for gut health, fascia work and inflammation. The minimum stay is seven nights and most guests take seven to fourteen. This is our clients’ favourite Lanserhof, and the medical expertise is the reason they give.
Fly to Innsbruck, or to Munich if the connection is better.

Lanserhof Tegernsee, Germany
The flagship, in the Bavarian Alps by the lake, and the most upscale of the three. It is also the largest investment of the group, and it shows in the architecture and the diagnostic equipment. The program here is Lanserhof Classic. From €8,435 for 7 nights.
Best for gut health, cognitive health and cardiovascular health. The minimum stay is four nights and four to ten is typical. This is where to go if you want the most advanced treatments the group offers.
Fly to Munich, about an hour away.
Lanserhof Sylt, Germany
The newest of the three, on the North Sea island, between the dunes and the Wadden Sea. Fifty-five rooms and suites, and five thousand square metres given over to medicine and treatment. The program here is Lanserhof Classic. From €6,480 for 7 nights.
Best for gut health, sleep and stress. The minimum stay is four nights and five to seven is typical. This is the Lanserhof most international guests pick, and the one we suggest most often for a first Mayr cure. It is at sea level, which matters to guests who do not do well at altitude.
Sylt also runs the shortest format in the group, the four-day Longevity Check. From €4,844 for 4 nights. That is efficient if four nights is genuinely all you have, though it is too short to detox properly or to change how you eat.
Fly to Hamburg and take the train across the causeway, or fly to the island directly in summer.
Four recent stays
These are clients we placed in the past few weeks, written up from what they told us afterwards. Names have been modified, but this is actually what they came for, experienced and reported.
Noura at Lanserhof Lans
Noura is an executive from Saudi Arabia who has worked her way through most of the well-known preventive clinics over the years. She came to Lans in July for fourteen nights, to get her sleep back and settle an overactive nervous system. She has a complex medical history and manages it carefully.
She picked Lanserhof for the depth of the diagnostics, and for the probiotic protocol that carries on after you leave. She rated Dr Katharina Kurz and the treatments highly. Partway through she reacted to the hay wraps and the protocol was rewritten around it, which is the daily adjustment doing exactly what it is there for. She is still working on the underlying picture, with better ground under her than when she arrived.
Anjali at Lanserhof Sylt
Anjali runs a fintech company in Asia. Sylt was her first health clinic and the first time she had taken proper time on her own. She arrived with questions about perimenopause and she left with answers, which is the part she talks about. Ten nights, in an entry-level room, and she was taken aback by how good the room and the design were. She made friends. She is coming back.
Martin at Lanserhof Tegernsee
Martin is a retired executive with a medical background, and he went to Tegernsee because he wanted to be certain he was going to the best of the three. He stayed fourteen nights. He spent a good deal more than he had planned and would do it again, because his doctor explained what each test and each treatment was for before it happened. He says he feels ten to fifteen years younger. He feels like flirting again!
Tom at Lanserhof Lans
Tom is an American executive who works on both sides of the Atlantic. He had done short stays at other clinics and wanted something more thorough for a gut problem, with coeliac disease a possibility. He thought about it for a long time, weighed Lans against Tegernsee, and booked seven nights at Lans on Classic Plus. A month later he says he can feel the difference.
One pattern across all four. The week itself is excellent, and aftercare is where every clinic in this category is weakest, Lanserhof included. That is most of the reason we stay in touch with clients once they are home.
The other Lanserhof addresses
Lanserhof also runs a medical club in London at The Arts Club and a site in Hamburg, and it is building a resort in Marbella.

How long to stay
Seven nights is the honest minimum for a first cure, whatever the stated minimum says. Lans requires seven. Tegernsee and Sylt will take you from four, and four nights is a quick diagnostic visit and a good rest, not really a cure.
If this is your first Mayr stay and your diary allows it, take ten nights, as the benefits are much better than with seven nights. The last days are where the eating gets rebuilt on purpose, and that is the part that travels home with you. Plenty of guests book seven and extend once they are there.
When to book
There is no real low season, but there are some promotional offers in Sylt in the Summer. Most years, January and the spring fill first, so plan early if you want a particular week. All three clinics close for 2-3 weeks over the Christmas break.
Is Lanserhof right for you
Lanserhof suits guests who respond to structure and want the medicine to be the point of the trip. It works well when you are trying to find the cause of persistent fatigue, digestive trouble or a metabolic problem. It works equally well as preventive maintenance, which is what brings most guests back.
It is not the right answer for everyone. If the food discipline is the part you keep worrying about, say so, because there are gentler clinics that get you to a similar place. And if you want to compare Lanserhof against a different school of medicine altogether, we put it next to SHA in this comparison.
Booking through us
You pay the same rate as booking direct. The clinic pays us a commission after your stay, which is how we keep the advice independent and this service free.
- We match you to the right location and program rather than the one with availability
- An upgrade on arrival, early check-in and late check-out where availability allows
- Preparation guidance before you travel, which is most of what makes the first days easier
- Support afterwards, to keep what you learnt in place once you are home
Tell us what you are dealing with and when you can travel, and we will tell you which of the three we would book for you.
