Same price as Clinique La Prairie Anji's own site, never more, with an independent expert advisor by your side.
Clinique La Prairie Anji is the first health resort the brand has opened outside Switzerland, and the choice of site was not accidental. It sits about 180 kilometres west of Shanghai in the Anji hills, looking out across a lake to mountains, in a setting Clinique La Prairie itself describes as reminiscent of Lake Geneva at Montreux. The surrounding slopes grow Anji white tea, which is the county’s claim to fame.
The scale is deliberately small. Twenty-nine rooms and suites across seven private villas arranged around the main building, which puts it closer in size to a private clinic than to a resort and gives it a staff to guest ratio that a larger property could not sustain.
What travels from Montreux is the method rather than the branding. The medical team is trained by Clinique La Prairie’s own experts, the four pillar structure is intact, and the diagnostic and longevity protocols including the Stem Cells Protocol are the house ones. What is new is the context: tea hills, lake, bamboo forest, and a Chinese kitchen interpretation of anti-inflammatory nutrition.
The Clinique La Prairie method, in China
Every programme is built on the same four pillars the brand has used for decades: evidence-based medicine, wellbeing, nutrition and movement, working together rather than in sequence. That structure is what makes a Clinique La Prairie stay recognisable regardless of which of its houses you are in.
The medical side is led by specialists trained by Clinique La Prairie’s own experts, which is the brand’s stated mechanism for holding diagnostic precision and follow-up to the Montreux standard, working in collaboration with the holistic team on site. Health Diagnostic is offered as a standalone assessment, and the Stem Cells Protocol, which is the treatment Clinique La Prairie is best known for, is available here.
The programme range is wider than at most single-site clinics because it inherits the full Montreux catalogue: longevity and revitalisation, detox, brain health, weight management, beauty and a general reset, at three, five and seven days. Reverse Aging is exclusive to Anji and does not exist at the other houses.
One point of genuine interest for anyone weighing this against the Swiss original: the resort is positioned as translating the same protocols into a Chinese setting rather than as offering traditional Chinese medicine. If you want TCM at the centre of the method rather than European longevity medicine in a Chinese landscape, this is not the property for that.
Seeds, and anti-inflammatory nutrition
Dining is built around Seeds, described by the resort as a plant-centric dining atelier, with anti-inflammatory nutrition as the organising principle and sustainability and gastronomy given equal weight to the protocol.
The kitchen is led by Chef Andy Qin, who brings more than eighteen years of experience and a background combining French and Sichuan cuisines with Western technique. That combination is the interesting part: Sichuan is not an obvious starting point for a clinic diet, and the fusion of it with French method and an anti-inflammatory brief is specific to this property.
Nutrition is one of the four pillars rather than a constraint bolted onto the programme, so the menu plan is built from your assessment rather than chosen from a card.
The resort, the lake and the tea hills
The property is arranged as seven private villas around a main building, holding twenty-nine rooms and suites in total, with the lake and the mountains beyond it as the outlook from essentially everywhere.
Movement is deliberately taken outdoors. The fitness offer covers personalised routines and gym sessions, but the signature activities are yoga by the lake, guided hikes up through the tea hills, cycling and meditation, using the landscape as the facility.
Anji itself is bamboo and tea country, quiet and green, and a long way in character from the Yangtze delta cities. The county’s white tea is genuinely well known within China, and the tea hills are the walk the resort sends guests out into.

Advanced Beauty
5 nights · Price on request
Five days rather than seven, and the shortest of the substantive programmes. Beauty in the Clinique La Prairie sense is approached through the same four pillars, so the medical and nutritional work sits underneath the aesthetic result rather than beside it.
Brain Potential

Brain Potential
7 nights · Price on request
Seven days focused on cognitive performance and brain health, which is one of the newer directions in the Clinique La Prairie catalogue and one of the harder things to find done seriously.
The framing is preventive as much as restorative: cognitive capacity, mental clarity and the long term protection of brain function rather than treatment of an existing condition.

Reverse Aging
Popular7 nights · Price on request
The programme that exists only at Anji. Seven days built around Clinique La Prairie’s longevity science, combining evidence-based medicine with wellbeing, nutrition and movement plans, and aimed squarely at biological rather than chronological age.
It is the reason most international guests choose this property over Montreux, and it is worth naming when you enquire, because it is the one protocol in the group that cannot be done in Switzerland.

Three day programmes for guests who cannot give a week. Clinique La Prairie offers these across several of its focuses, and at Anji they are the practical option for anyone already travelling in China rather than flying in for the resort.
Three days is a genuine introduction rather than a full protocol. Anyone flying from Europe should be planning seven.

Frequently asked questions
What is the atmosphere like, and who stays here?
Small, quiet and medical, in the Clinique La Prairie register rather than the resort one. Twenty-nine rooms across seven villas means you are unlikely to see many other guests, and the days are structured around consultations and treatments rather than around a social programme. The guest mix is substantially Chinese and regional Asian, with international guests who already know the brand from Montreux.
What makes Clinique La Prairie Anji different?
It is the only place outside Switzerland where you can do a Clinique La Prairie programme, and the only place anywhere you can do Reverse Aging. Add a 29 room property on a lake in bamboo and tea country, a kitchen combining French and Sichuan technique under an anti-inflammatory brief, and the Stem Cells Protocol available on site, and it is a genuinely distinct proposition rather than a franchise.
How much does Clinique La Prairie Anji cost?
Prices are being integrated. Clinique La Prairie does not publish rates for Anji, and we are not going to repeat the third-party figures in circulation. Programmes run at three, five and seven days. Contact us for a current quote and we will confirm it directly with the reservation team.
What are the alternatives to Clinique La Prairie Anji?
Clinique La Prairie Montreux is the obvious one: the original, larger, and with the full medical infrastructure behind it. In China, Ruihe Chiva near Nanjing takes the opposite approach and builds on traditional Chinese longevity instead. Elsewhere in Asia, RAKxa in Bangkok and Chi Longevity in Singapore are the closest for medical longevity work, and SHA Mexico or SHA Spain for a comparable clinic experience at a larger scale.
Is this the same Clinique La Prairie as Montreux?
Same brand, same method, same four pillars, and it is the first health resort the group has opened outside Switzerland. The medical team here is trained by Clinique La Prairie’s own experts and the protocols including the Stem Cells Protocol are the house ones. What differs is scale and setting: 29 rooms and suites in seven villas above a lake in the Anji tea hills, rather than the Montreux clinic on Lake Geneva.
What is the Reverse Aging programme?
A seven day longevity programme that is exclusive to Anji and is not offered at the other Clinique La Prairie houses. There is also a Reverse Aging Premium version at the same length. If it is the reason you are considering the property, say so when you enquire, because it is the one thing here you cannot get in Switzerland.
Does it offer traditional Chinese medicine?
It is not built around TCM. The resort applies Clinique La Prairie’s European longevity medicine in a Chinese setting rather than combining the two traditions as its method. If TCM at the centre of the protocol is what you want, that is a different kind of property and we can point you at one.
How do I get there?
Through Shanghai, in almost every case. Anji is about 180 kilometres west of the city and roughly three hours by road from Pudong, less from Hongqiao and less again from Hangzhou. The transfer is long enough that it shapes the trip, which is part of why seven nights is the sensible length here.
Do I need a visa?
It depends on your passport and it changes often. China has been expanding visa free entry and visa free transit for a growing list of nationalities, but the terms differ by nationality and by port of entry. Check the current position before booking anything non refundable, and do not rely on what was true last year.
